Paralleling Shawl is simple, sophisticated and a delight to knit. Stripes of Stockinette & Reverse Stockinette stitch parallel each other with adjacent garter stitch side panels. The shawl is worked in, what I like to call “Section-Knitting:” Each component is written out in easy-to-follow sectioned directions. This is my new favorite design technique that will keep you engaged throughout the entire project! Paralleling Shawl is worked bottom up, increasing each right side row, working bands of Stockinette & Reverse Stockinette st. The side panels are then picked up and worked in garter st short rows. Finally, the i-cord Bind Off is worked around the entire perimeter of the shawl. Tassels are added for extra movement but are easily left out for a more minimalistic look.
